How to stop thinking about my jaws and my tongue
Post Body

Hi all, so I have had an untreated tongue thrust most of my life and it's caused bad posture and articulation issues. I have recently discovered proper oral habits and realized that I have a bad tongue posture. I've been trying to correct this but whenever I raise the back third of my tongue, I can't breathe. I grind my teeth and clench in my sleep but I always wake up feeling refreshed, so I don't think I have sleep apnea. However, I know that I am recessed and downswung. I aim to get jaw surgery in the future, but for the moment I'm having trouble focusing on anything else but my tongue placement and my jaws. Does anyone have any advice on how to relax my thoughts despite having these problems?
