Hi everyone, I am in Calgary for 2 weeks of Business and I do not have a vehicle, nor I know anyone willing to drive me. This long weekend, I was planning to visit Jasper National park using the bus/transit/poparide from Banff/Calgary - whatever is cheaper.
I could see that all hotels/hostels are booked in Jasper. Those still available are 150 CAD/Night and that too very basic which is not worth it.
But I want to just travel Icefield Parkway for experience. I have heard it is amazing. There is no same day travel to and fro from Banff to Jasper and back to Banff the same day.
Can anyone suggest any other cheaper hostels/homestays in Jasper which may not be listed on famous websites online, or everything is already booked given it is labor Day work?
If not, then please suggest some way to travel to at least half of the Ice field Parkway from Banff to Jasper; and return back the same day to Banff. Or should I just focus on Banff completely? Last week I visited Sulphur mountains in Banff and Tunnel mountain trail. Rest everything is left to visit in Banff. Should I drop idea of Jasper and focus on booking things in Banff
