For は, when to pronounce "ha" and when to pronounce "wa"?

So like the title says, I'm a little confused as to what situations in which to pronounce は as "ha" and when to pronounce it as "wa". Obviously as a particle it's pronounced "wa", but it seems like every other time I see it it's pronounced "wa" as well, even though I always see it listed as "ha" in all the hiragana charts. Is it just something arbitrary that I have to learn for each individual case, or is there a pattern and logic here in the grammar that I'm not seeing? Any help with this would be appreciated.
