Help with Japanese lullaby?

Post Body

I am trying to track down a Japanese lullaby my dad used to sing to my sister and I as kids. He was Japanese and grew up in Okinawa in the 1950s. I don’t remember all the words and I don’t speak Japanese, so this is just a snippet of how it sounds phonetically - “wakana dakayo”. My mom used to make fun of the song because she thought it sounded like he was saying “What kind of duck are you..” I believe this was the chorus or main melody of the song.

Thanks in advance for any help. It would be cool to hear this song as an adult as my dad passed away a few years ago. Thanks.
