Hi all,
I'm wondering if/what the game plan is for the build/edit interface. I've recently been checking out Anyland, and I think there are some pretty good ideas with the interface there that would be great to see in Janus.
If you haven't seen how it works, or don't have the time to try out the app, they have a great list of tutorials from the author here: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=anyland&ia=videos&iax=1
Some of the things I like:
- having a menu to choose your primitives
- a pencil to change the color/textures/particles
- an inventory of models accessible by reaching over your shoulder
- being able to move things around with just your hands, with settings for snapping
- copying just by grabbing something and pulling it apart with your other hand
- an on-hand menu accessible by pressing a ring on your finger
- scaling something up and down by grabbing in the air and pulling your hands apart or moving them closer together
- basic scripting through menus
Anyway, just some thoughts that would make building in Janus while in VR much better, but love to see if there's been thoughts about improvements in this area already.
Keep up the great work!
