I checked the before and after streams for the DamitaJo album at Spotify over the frame that included Super Bowl and during which there has been an effort to stream the album.
I can only check Spotify as I’m not a member of Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal etc.
Streams of DamitaJo are up 155,274 over the past week, which is equivalent to selling 124 copies of the album (assuming the accounts streaming has subscribed rather than being advert supported). I noticed on iTunes the album was in the Top 200 chart and peaked at #53. Not bad considering there was no reissue and you can’t buy albums you’ve previously bought a second time.
Spotify has about 50% of the global streaming market.
It takes 400-500 sales within a weekly frame to enter the BB200 nowadays. Perhaps DamitaJo sales for the week in the US will be around 200-300. Probably not going to reenter the chart when it is next updated but we weren’t oh so far away either.
