EDIT: OK so I have been upgrading my setup and bought the Cambridge Audio Alva Solo preamp which has a subsonic filter and I am VERY HAPPY to report back and say that the low thumping sound is no longer audible in the same way it once was! I can hear it ever so slightly, but it is very subdued compared to being right up and loud compared to before and it has changed the listening experience from being night to day!
Credit to /u/bubblegumdog for the hint that a subsonic filter would help!
I have been eyeing up a copy ever since it was released and I missed my chance on buying before it sold out. I finally bit the bullet and now have #114, was in unplayed condition.
On both sides there is a scratchy noise coming from it only audible in the right channel and it occurs every second dipping in and out like a pulse. The left channel is fine.
It's extremely disappointing.
Just thought I'd mention it if you were looking to buy a copy, beware.
