In Jaime's absence after his last chapter in A Dance with Dragons, let's say that he is removed from the Kingsguard, whether for political reasons, or the Faith abolishes it, whatever. What do you think the consequences might be, for the KG and for him? Is he angry? Or does he accept it? Does it leave him free to marry, for example, or does it make it easier for him to be Regent? I'm throwing these ideas out but they're not prescriptive, I'm curious to hear what you all think might happen if Jaime goes the way of Barristan Selmy and gets the boot.
