Virtualhome8 causing my phone to get abnormally hot?

Hey guys. I have an IPhone 6 running iOS 8.1. I recently bought Virtualhome 8 and installed it, but ever since, it's been making it really hot anywhere, and even on lock screen/ sleep. It this problem just me, is it something else, or is it commonly known to cause this problem? I've uninstalled it since then. Thank you!
