[Request] Cydia: Disable checking source for changes, without removing it

Post Body

This has probably been posted in the past, but i want to bring it back to light.

There are several sources (for instance taig) which you don't really need to check everyday and having many of these kinds of sources slows down the refresh time.

You can remove the sources, sure... But it's such a pain in the ass. Removing them and re-adding them takes time, and also requires that you take note of the ones removed.

Can we not get a simple button in the sources edit section which simply disables cydia from checking the source (and greys out the entry in cydia), rather than having to delete them?

This is a fairly substantial problem, from a UX perspective and shouldn't require much work (not a large task at least) to implement. The rewards for implementing this are great though. You allow a user to keep a wide array of sources, but allow for the ability to only have the selected set of sources as active.

This allows for better tweak discovery and faster response time for source updates.

/u/saurik - your thoughts please?
