I have an upcoming internship in Jacksonville for the next two months, but am completely unfamiliar with the area and was wondering if I could have some insight on recommended areas/places to avoid regarding housing. The company I am interning at is located in Northside, so ideally I would want the commute to be 15 minutes or less. Affordability and safety are key. Mostly concerned with a location that has low crime and good places to eat nearby. Any artistic/alternative/underground scenes are a plus and would be nice to have around.
