I have always admired Japanese culture. It is incredible and amazing to me, both in our time and in the times of emperors and samurai. I recently came across a review of the Shogun TV show and decided to check it out.

Now I understand why it is praised and has been widely acclaimed for its high production values, excellent costumes and sets, and historical accuracy in its depiction of Edo-era Japan. It also helped popularize interest in Japanese culture and history in the Western world.

This is an amazing story that will introduce you to Japanese culture without any stereotypes and you will learn a lot about the history of this country, its customs, and traditions. I'm very glad that I watched this series. First of all, the series is not focused on action, but on Taranaga's dialogs, the main character takes his charisma and intelligence, not strength and army. I was incredibly impressed after watching it. I've always wanted to visit Japan and now that desire has only grown stronger, hopefully one day I'll visit.
