I’ve loved this movie ever since I first saw it. It’s one of few films wherein I’ve viewed it multiple times since my first viewing, in spite of its graphic content. It’s a masterclass in film making - Malcolm Dowell as Alex draws you in, in spite of how reprehensible the character is Dowell’s handsomeness and presence make it a challenge to turn off. The instrumentals, it’s one of few films I’ve seen wherein I don’t have a single complaint, even when comparing it to the novel. Even the film’s universe is just so immersive in spite of the fact that it’s clearly not meant to be a utopia, the scene where Alex picks up the girls in the record shop always stands out to me. I feel like the music in particular is really what helps make this a classic, I mean the music is AMAZING.
