Hey guys, I'm a non-denominational Christian and I've been trying pretty hard to understand my and other faiths better. I've got a mentor I was just talking about Catholicism, other sects of Christianity, and inevitably Islam with.
I have very little knowledge of the religion, but I really want to understand, so I was looking for help specifically with the aforementioned chapter. My mentor has quoted it being anti-Christian and a means to kill non-believers. I just looked it up and read through it a couple times here (not sure if there are different translations or just one), and I didn't really understand what he meant.
Would someone be willing to help out and explain the chapter, and also kind of tell me why someone would interpret it that way? Thanks in advance!
