Is it normal to have a few compulsive behaviors?
Post Body

I don't have many and it doesn't usually bother me, but I do wonder if it's normal or a sign of mental illness.

For example - When I was a kid (around 11) I started doing this weird thing where as I walked every few minutes I would raise my leg enough to gently kick my butt. In hindsight I'm very embarrassed that I did this in public. My mom asked why I was doing that and I said it was 'a habit'. She told me to stop so I did.

Whenever I'm on a laptop I will bring the mouse to hit the left edge of the window and do this a couple of times. I'm conscious of it and don't do it when people can see, but if I'm alone I get the urge that I need to satisfy. I can do this quite often if I'm stressed.

When I'm driving (again mostly if I'm alone) I will look at the review mirror, but like not the actual mirror, only the edge of it. I noticed I do this quite a lot and became concerned as it definitely takes my attention away from the road. I'm not looking into the actual mirror to see the traffic behind me, it's just the edge of the thing! I tried to stop but I keep forgetting and doing it again.

These are the only ones I can think of. No one ever noticed these behaviors or at least they didn't mention it. I wonder if it falls into the normal range of behavior or if it's a sign of something else.
