I'm (mid 20s F) thinking of coming to Ireland after a meeting in Europe, I've got the week of 12-17 March free... Is everywhere madness around the week of St Paddy's day? I'm not against some fun, but don't want to spend my holidays in crowds of drunks. Is it just Dublin that's wild? Are other cities more tame to visit during this time? Or should I just try to visit another time?
That's super helpful to know. Should I maybe plan to do Dublin earlier, then go to Galway perhaps at the end of the trip and just avoid being around Dublin on the 17th?
Ah I'm not organized enough to have booked yet π quite a late notice trip, I could also go out on the 18th. Flights back to Zurich seem to be in the afternoon. But yeah it sounds like Dublin on the 17th isn't my speed. Maybe I'll go to cork and fly out there on the 18th for example. Or just take a train back and fly out of Dublin, expecting delays during/after the 17th. I appreciate any advice you're giving! Thanks!

Haha yeah I'm looking to avoid the projectile vomiting (and Americans - we're the worst). Other places sound actually pleasant βΊοΈ
