I’m visiting my boyfriend in Dublin this summer and he mentioned that I shouldn’t wear any of the clothes I like to wear over there because I would probably get jumped. I wear things like pinks, purples, pleated skirts, thigh highs, etc. Very asian inspired fashion. It just made me feel really down because I’m unsure if it’s because of the risk of me actually getting jumped or if he’s just embarrassed of what I wear. Last time I even wore a black overall dress and he didn’t seem to like that and mentioned how even that was too much and I felt that it was very mild. He said maybe that sort of fashion would pass in America but not over there.
