Cork Stereotypes
Post Body

I love local differences and yes I know stereotypes do not always apply but I find them interesting. I'm not from Ireland but (groan, I know you real Irish hear it too much) am of Irish ancestry. I've had occasion to deal with Cork people as well as Irish from all over the Republic and do notice not only the Cork accent but also speech habits (I could be wrong but I think they end a lot of sentences with "like" or "you see."). What about personal characteristics. A friend from Kilkenny said Cork people are "cute" in the Irish sense. All this in my mind is good-natured stuff.
