Post Body

As the title says, I'm moving to Germany in July, hopefully on a permanent basis.

I own an apartment that I would like to rent whilst I'm away but Ive never been a landlord, and therefore have a few questions -

Do I need to change my mortgage? What Insurance do I need? Is it worth my while getting a property management company to deal with tenants? What are the tax implications here in Ireland?

I estimate that rent would be around €1,700 pm. Remaining mortgage on property is €180k - Im paying €950 per month.

The other option is to sell and I'm wondering if that's maybe less hassel. Although I'd like to have a base here incase everything went tits up in GER plus the added income in the long term would be nice.

All imput welcome. Thanks :-)
