How to plan a back piece?

Post Body

For the last few years I have been wanting to get my back at least started.. and I keep finding tons of inspiration but I'm having trouble settling in on what I like and also the longer term process of the whole thing.

I guess one of my questions is.. should I plan my ENTIRE back piece first? or is it ok to sort of "collage" it together over a period of time?

My second question - which sort of tied into the first question. What is the usual workflow of something like this? and is it common to work with a few different artists (IE if me or my artist moves or just whatever circumstance. Or if i visit another city and found an artist that i would like to have contribute or touch up?) ... and I guess that's where it ties into my first question of should i get the entire piece planned first.

Thanks for any advice - this will also be my first piece... Im kin of go big or go home on this one
