Got cut off in roundabout and the guy was screaming at me, did I do something wrong?

I don’t know why people need to be launching the car into roundabouts at speed. Yes, the ESB guy is 100% at fault. But so what? Why is everyone is such a rush, and in such a rush to be right all the time?
I never align myself with another car in a roundabout where possible because people make mistakes, don’t pay attention or may just be horrible drivers.
Either way, I’d rather be safe than right.
