I (M36) have a 6 year old daughter who lives with me roughly 50% of the time. I have a voluntary agreement to pay 200 a month this year and I offered 240 for the next 2 years as the cost of living has gone up etc.
The mam however has started getting very odd about my access and she is saying that the money isn't enough and she wants to take me to court as it's "best for our daughter and it's not enough"
She's also not working so she wants to have our daughter at her place more and more. It's upsetting cos she believes that a child should be with the mother and I can have her when I'm not working ( I do fully remote work from home so I don't agree)
The other thing is the mam is actually pregnant again, probably why she's looking for the extra money off me.
Does anyone have experience with the Irish court system and how much I would probably have to pay if it does end up going to court? What I want most is the guarantee of keeping my 50% access. The money I'll deal with, I can work overtime and I'm used to being broke by now but I can't replace the lost time I have with my kid!
