Kiwi here,
Have been living in Dublin for the past year or so and had been waiting on an outcome on my employment permit so that I can continue to stay and work here.
Just got told this morning that it was declined under the reason that I "do not hold a third level degree relevant to the job". Needless to say both my company and myself are pretty shattered by the news.
The thing is I do hold a third level degree in Marketing & International Business (is a marketing job) and have been working in a related field for around 3 years now so we can't understand why this was the refusal reason.
I'm planning to appeal but was wondering if anyone had dealt with something like this before and what they did to get it successfully appealed as I only have one shot at it?
Cheers
