You've misunderstood and I have edited the last post while you were replying that I'm not directly criticising that option. But it is an observation that is nonetheless true even if it is the best option
I know. I literally never said opposite.
My point is that as outsiders we are providing no alternative options even if you continue to do the above we can still explore the possibility of options.
Edit to add: But by limiting options and just going on supplying what they ask for we are in turn pushing that route as the only avenue. This isn't a criticism of such just an observation of the facts
No. It was more of a guerilla warfare tactic. You may want to look into it a bit more.
We were and how it ended was by a coming together and forming the Good Friday Agreement which involved peace talks.... exactly what they are proposing to occur in this instance too (or at least to explore).
I don't think anybody sensible wants us to continue some war of attrition for the North. Peace talks can work. Not saying in this case they will but current opinions of people outside direct conflict is not helping (remember it was people like Clinton who helped the GFA from the outside)
We've no right to how to tell Ukrainians how to defend their own land
To be fair I think part of their point is that by default that's exactly what we are doing by giving them whatever they need to support their army. It's like the kid in school who never got in trouble but always egged somebody else on to do something.

You have. I know because I know what my opinions are better than you do amazingly enough.
I'm not an expert in war or negotiations it is not my area to start giving alternatives (nor is it the place of I'd say 99% of this subreddit) because I am not versed enough to do such without understanding the implications of current or alternative measures.
My point is, which you have once again missed, that any exploration of alternatives are not being given OR at the very least not publicly being discussed. On the ground, circumstances are extremely different but Troubles for example consisted of guerilla warfare until an alternative (pushed strongly by certain outsiders like Clinton) was brought forward and agreed on. I'm not saying the same agreement before you jump the gun, it is just an example of where alternatives that at the time would have been seen as impossible actually make sense.
