The recent tensions between iran and the US have made me interested in the revolution, particularly the various groups opposed to the shah, not just the ones under the Ayatollah.
For a school assignment, I have to analyse primary source(s). My topic is about why the Ayatollah ended up coming out on top, as opposed to any of the other opposition groups.
I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction. What would be especially interesting are primary sources from the various opposition groups themselves, especially any that discuss the workers' councils (shuras/shoras) that sprang up in the run up to the revolution.
Thanks for any help in advance.
