Hey everyone,
I live in northeastern MD and it looks like Verizon finally deployed IPv6 to my area. No idea when exactly it happened, was just checking my router for updates earlier and noticed that my DHCPv6-PD configuration was finally assigning IPv6 addresses to interfaces. Based off stuff I read, VZW began deployment in MD sometime in the last couple months.
Now that they support it though, I’d like to transition my entire home network to IPv6 internally. I’ve been assigned a /56 prefix.
For the most part, I have the DHCPv6-PD configuration complete on my edgerouter (since it’s assigning IPs), though I’m not completely sure how DNS should be configured. I am also unsure of how to configure NAT64, or what the best practice recommendations are in general for IPv6 security and what not.
Does anyone have a guide to do a complete IPv6 setup on Edge OS?
