Right up front I'll say that I have absolutely no experience with iPhones. I've had only Androids. My daughter, however, has received an iPhone 7 as her first phone.
Yesterday, she texted me and said her pictures were gone. We looked at her phone and I tried to do some online investigating. First of all, he photo album shows that it contains 800 photos, but only 7 are actually showing. She's checked her deleted photos album (they're not there) and has checked to make sure they're not hidden (they're not).
She says she's downloaded and installed the latest update, and we've powered the phone down and turned it back on.
As I'm not an iPhone person, my initial reaction is to factory reset it. While her photos seem to be in limbo, they aren't lost; they are still in her iCloud account. But I'm not 100% sure a reset is the right thing to do with this phone.
Can anybody offer up any suggestions or advice? Please and thank you?
