As the title states, when I leave the Messages App in a conversation thread with my wife, for example, for an amount of time (unsure how long) I will go back into the app and it'll be back on the message selection screen instead of my last conversation I left off on.
It used to stay in whatever conversation I was in no matter if I closed the app completely or just in the background. I ran into this issue on my old iPhone 8 years ago and then it went away when I upgraded to my current iPhone 11 Pro Max.
And ideas what causes this or any solutions?
