Changed my Apple ID. Having issues with the App Store.

Yesterday I changed my Apple ID to another e-mail and changed my password as well. After restarting my phone I logged into iCloud and the App Store using my new ID and password and everything seemed to be working fine until I realised I'm not able to update old apps. When there's an update available I click 'update', then it asks me to enter my password to my new Apple ID, after entering it, it acts as if it's started downloading for like a second, then reverts to 'update' again. Bear in mind that I can download new apps just fine, but the issue seems to be with updating old ones.

It's an iPhone 5S, running iOS 9.2.1
