5S bricked?

I updated my 5S to the most recent iOS on Wednesday and synced it and backed it up to the cloud thursday morning. Today at noon the screen wouldn't come up and it gave me the "plug into iTunes" graphic. My iMac (up to date OS and iTunes, rebooted) can't seem to connect to it - sometimes it says that it can't restore the iPhone and sometimes it says it can't connect. I always end up with a 4005 or 4013 error code. I tried a different USB/lightning cable and I tried from a different Mac and got the same result.

I went on Apple Chat and they couldn't help. Now I've got an appointment at the apple store - but not until Monday afternoon.

Anybody got any ideas that would get me up quicker than that?
