I have had my iphone 15 pro for a few months now. Have taken great care of it, but probably 25% of the time I open the camera app, the camera freezes or shows a black screen.

Frequently the camera app will open and then simply freeze the image, preventing me from taking any photos. Other times I will open the camera to a black screen, again preventing any photos. When I shut the app and reopen, usually this resolves the problem, but still quite annoying on a brand new iphone

Very confused by this. The phone is up to date on updates, but the issue has persistented through several updates.

Has anyone else experienced this? One of the main reasons I switched to iphone from Android was the supposedly great camera (it is great when it works) However it happens so frequently that I am suspecting the unit may be defective somehow?

Any advice is appreciated
