Camera lens protectors— worth it or not?

Acquired an iPhone 15 Pro Max today and while getting accessories installed I saw they also had camera lens protectors like these ones. I've never had it for past iphones and never really had problems with scratching the camera before. Looking online there seems to be mixed reviews. To those who has it, is it worth having? Do you find a difference w photo and video quality with it on?
