Was at the gym and smashed my 15pm today by dropping a dumbbell on it at the gym. It’s the first phone I have ever broken in my whole life as I’m usually very careful with it.

Luckily I had Apple care plus which I usually never buy.

Apple staff said that the chassis got dented therefore even if they simply replace the screen it would not be water resistant.

It will cost me 149aud to get a brand new iPhone 15 pro max but due to no stock, it might take a week or 2 and gave me a loaner phone to use right now (iPhone xr)

Really hoping it arrives before 2 weeks because I’m going overseas.

And yes I used a case and a screen protector but that doesn’t help and a dumbbell smashes the phone.
