9th gen: 340$ Mini: 540$ 10th gen: 580$ Air: 660$ 11”Pro: 840$

I plan on using one for media consumption, note taking, photo and video editing, work in Microsoft Apps, some drawing, playing with vector apps. Also I’m planning to keep it for 3-4 years.

I’ve waited for the 9th gen to be updated and to say that I’m disappointed is an understatement and I think that’s how many Apple users feel. The 10th gen is disgusting considering it’s price. And now it seems like any iPad you choose, you are making a sacrifice: 9th gen: 3 year old chip, big bezels, inferior display Mini: display maybe too small ? A15 10th gen: don’t even get me started :) Air: only 64Gb and by the time you upgrade to 256Gb you are better off going to the 128Gb 11”Pro 11”Pro: no Mini-Led or Oled for an expensive device.

Apple really screwed their lineup because they became too confident while having no competition in this segment. The Galaxy Tab S8 Plus for 740$ seems like a good deal with a very nice display and comes with all the accessories, but you lose the ecosystem, maybe some performance, great optimization and software support down the line, and some apps that are only on the App Store. Samsung said it will get OS updates for 4yrs and security updates for 5.

So taking all of this into consideration, which do you think is the best tablet deal right now ? Maybe a 2020 11”Pro ?
