I tried making this post in r/Apple but I think it was removed. Anyway!
I made an iPad stand from an iMac G4
Hey guys! I’ve had this iMac G4 since 7th grade. It’s a 15” 700 MHz model so it’s not very useful by today’s standards. I saw an instructable of someone else repurposing theirs as an iPad stand and thought I could give it a shot.
It’s not perfect but I think it does the job pretty well. I made some slight changes but generally followed the tutorial. I have full access to all the angles and the ipad is secured with magnets . Trying to remove the iPad can be a little cumbersome but I’ll see what I can do to improve that.
It’s the 12.9 3rd generation model. I ordered the magic keyboard but it’s taking too long to get here so I wanted to scratch this itch. My goal is to use this as like a pseudo desktop with a keyboard and mouse, watch tv, and play games with my Xbox controller.
Here’s the imgur link if you want more pictures.

This project was just for fun since I’ve been pretty bored lately so I just wanted to share and feel free to ask any questions!
