Hey everyone,
So, I recently purchased a surface 3 and it didn't really suit my needs as a tablet. It was more of a portable PC. I'm a surgical resident, so I kind of need something I can quickly open up and use. I mainly use it for:
- Noting down how in-patients were over the night and new updates
- Jotting down any new orders for them during the rounds
- Fast enough to open up "inkling", "kindle" or any PDF document reader to read up on cases before a procedure or if I have any free time. I also annotate and underline when I have some time to sit down and focus.
So, my main questions would be:
1- Would you guys recommend the larger iPad or the mini version? I'm concerned because of the higher PPI on the mini might make the images more crisp and clear. However, the larger screen is a bigger bonus for reading.
2- Any stylus recommendations? I won't use them to take notes. I take my notes with the virtual keyboard using the notes app or notability. With the new bulleting and listing system and the ability to indent and outdent made this a more viable option than handwritten notes.
3- Regarding covers, this has been a major area of concern because they usually bulk up the device. I would like something slimmer but at the same time I can flip the front cover 360 degrees with no problems. I didn't like the smart cover because when I flip it over it wouldn't stick to the back and it felt like an appendage. I also mostly use the back side of any tablet to use as a clipboard for writing on papers.
Sorry for the long post. Wanted it to be as clear as possible
Thank you,
