Replace Apple Pencil Pro Tip?

I bought a new apple pencil pro and while I was using it dropped it tip first outside. The pencil works fine still but there's an imprint in the tip where it hit the ground. I'm wondering if I should swap it out for a new one now or wait it out since it's still functioning fine. It does feel like it may be catching the screen when I write and the imprint is facing the right angle, is it likely to scratch up the screen?
