He just got it today, so it took close to four weeks. I have been very curious as to which he would end up with, especially after finding out they don’t keep all of the prizes they offer on hand. When he redeemed originally, I had Googled, and it sounded like Dave & Buster’s had a supplier they use, so I thought, no matter what, it would be the 64GB M1 that had been mostly on sale lately. But, he just so happened to redeem it, without knowing about the new models, on the day the new models came out. I had gotten my M4 Pro that morning. This is both his first iPad, and his first Apple product, so he really didn’t know the difference, or care, but for what you end up paying, I am really happy that he ended up with the $600 brand new device, instead of a $400 two year old device. He also said that when he picked it up today, they no longer had any iPads up as prizes, so I am curious why. I was planning on redeeming one in a few months, myself, so I hope they bring them back.
In case anyone asks, it was 180,000 tickets, which is the most expensive prize they have (at least at our local store). There is no "equivalent" cash value for that, as how many tickets you get for any given amount of money spent varies by game, luck, and even day of the week. Anyway, I think it is really cool that he ended up with the new M2 Air, and I am excited that someone outside of my family now has an iPad that I can share the experience with. Also, I have owned iPad Pro models since 2015, this will be my first time holding a modern day Air. I am curious to see it side by side with my Pro.
