I want to give an old Air 2 to an elderly relative, I don't know the passcode as the previous owner died. On my PC I downloaded the "Apple Devices" app and put the iPad into revoery mode. The trouble is I have slow broadband and the iPad times out after 15 minutes and the d/l isn't finished.

I did try it on a 5G connection that was quicker and I thought it was going to work but this time the d/l progress went past the 4.7GB it stated and just carried on downloading until the iPAd timed out again.

Any ideas please?
