Need help scanning document in landscape mode GOODNOTES 6

Hey i got a new ipad air (1st time so sorry if its a noob question) and i am digitalising my paper notes by scanning them into my goodnotes 6 notebook. The problem i am getting is when i try to scan the notes in landscape style, it automatically converts them into portrait paper. I have set the notebook's template to A4 landscape but it still scans in portrait mode. I have lot of digitalisation to do so can you guys please tell easy method to directly scan the physical notes into goodnotes in landscape form. Is there a setting i am missing out.
