Best iPad to compliment an M2 MacBook Air with 8gb ram?

Just got an M2 MacBook Air with 8gb of RAM, and was looking for an iPad to compliment it. Use cases are going to be as a second monitor with sidecar for a coding bootcamp Iām doing, as well as streaming video and sending emails/taking notes/basic tasks. Trying to decide between the iPad 10th gen and iPad Air 5th gen. Leaning towards the iPad 10th gen because having a tablet with the same processing power and RAM as my (very portable) laptop seems redundant. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
