iPad Air 4 Heats Up on YouTube and has Horrible RAM Management

So, I noticed that my iPad Air 4 heats up whenever I watch YouTube videos and as soon as I swipe up to go to the home screen, it reloads my YouTube and can’t keep it as a background app. My iPad has never been like this before until yesterday.
I tried to reboot my iPad but it still happens, and now I’m currently updating my iPadOS to 16.5.1 (I’ll come back if the issue still persists after the update).
Is this a YouTube problem or does my iPad need fixing? I’m currently on iPadOS 16.
