Need a good recommendation

Anyone know of a good quality game with hero/squad building and maybe even base building without that cookie-cutter feature where other players can attack your base (like Rise of Kingdoms).
I like games where you can recruit/find heroes and then equip them with gear. State of decay 2 comes to mind, but that one isn’t on iOS.
