Shame on you all for not having the best iOS strategy series of all time here!

It's of course, the Auropean War games. The genre is turn based, and slow, but very rewarding. As for gameplay, it's something like Risk, but has very quickly evolved and left it's inspirations looking like ameobas to this homo sapien of a game, so to speak. I'm not sure how to describe this much more, but BUY IT.
(oh, and the learning curve is a bit steep, but once you learn how to play it's worth the invested time)
