iOS news + new subreddit: /r/digitaltabletop
Post Body

If you like digital board games in general, and not just the ones you can get on iOS, then come check out our new subreddit at /r/digitaltabletop where we're going to talk about iOS, Android, web-based, and PC/Mac/Linux board games. We're scanning the news for anything relevant to digital board games and posting it there, and you're welcome to join us.

At the risk of being redundant, that also includes iOS board game news. Just today my co-moderator posted the news of a new campaign in Elder Sign: Omens, a new iOS board game release, Survive, and yesterday I posted about a sale on an abstract iOS board game. There's more news on the sub from the past week (I created it on Thursday, IIRC); check it out!

I originally was going to post iOS-only news here on /r/iosboardgames, but I wanted a single place to post all the information I was finding. I have iOS and Android devices, as well as a Windows laptop, and so I wanted a single place to post and discuss all the digital board game information I was finding.

If someone wants to volunteer to repost iOS /r/digitaltabletop articles to /r/iosboardgames, that's fine by us; this doesn't need to be a competition, and anyone who doesn't care about Windows or Android board game news can ignore the new sub. But aside from the fact that posting everything twice would start to feel like "spam", I have limited time to do this, and I'd rather have a single place to post everything.

Some of the things we're posting clearly don't belong here (PC-based tactical miniatures? Very much not iOS!), and since /r/boardgames has a strict no-digital (except for digital copies of existing physical games) policy, those posts didn't have a good place to live on Reddit. So /r/digitaltabletop was born, and we hope you'll subscribe.
