Hey everyone, I'm extremely new to iOS but I recently bought a mackbook pro 13" and an iPhone 16 Pro and have had issues with the messaging app where it won't delete messages across the systems. I keep getting spammed with political texts and it's bad enough to have to delete them once on my phone but anytime I open up my messages app on my laptop the messages are still there so I have to delete them a second time. I have sync iCloud message syncing turned on for both devices but it looks like the actual refresh rate where it syncs them together is very inconsistent (my macbook says the last time it synced messages was yesterday at 10pm).
Is there a way to have the message app refresh more frequently or some other way to make this problem less frustrating?
ETA: I just turned the Sync on and off and all of the spam messages are back on my phone so that's fun.
