Reminders app widget - any way to show dates?

I feel like this is a pretty bad thing to omit. Sorting by due date is fine, but its strange that I can't even see the due date next to it.

I feel like it would be great to be able to display "Reminders for this week" or "next 5 days". But I know thats just my anxious mind's wants.

Any ways to show date?

Is it worth switching to something like Todoist?

And any way to set up reminders so it doesn't show things way in the future? For example, I have a reminder set for a literal year later... Though I'm guessing I might have to just move that to Calendar.
