Some plugins slow to work on the first run in app

Hi,
Some plugins I am using are always slow to start on the first run of my app. Once they have been used once they seems to start immediately the next time it is used. These include camera, social share and call.
I've watched the debug info coming through on Xcode and it always mentions they should be running on a background thread but I don't know how I can do that.
Has anyone else come across this and if so fixed it?
