Ionic 3 support for older Android devices

Hi,

I am currently developing an Ionic 3 app which when using Ionic View on an old Android device just wouldn't load up. ( When I click the app in View it just shows a white screen after taking a few minutes to load up)

I believe the two devices we tried were 4.2 / 4.4 level. I can load it up fine on my Galaxy S9.

I've had a look at the docs and it appears that Cordova doesn't support them but the issue I have is that the app is for a charity with field workers in Africa and the expectation is that some of the devices might be old.

Is there anything I can do to get around this?
