I need Help Planning my future (investing, IRA, 401K, Pension)
So im way behind alot of my close friends as far as career, working, savings, investing, buying houses and I don't know where or how to begin! ðŸ˜ðŸ¤¯
I'm 32 years old, living in SoCal (Rialto, Ca) with my family and only pay 700 in rent. I'm about to graduate with my Degree In neurophysiology and I will soon begin my career as a surgical Neurophysiologist. They make 80-160k a year but I expect to make 60-80k as a new graduate.
I don't have a savings or anything to my name like all of my friends do such as a house, kids, investments, equity etc (Im just a late bloomer).
As Im already late to the game I get lost in alot of what my friends are telling me to do. Some say to work on paying off my student loans, since I'm single and still at home with my family with no kids, while others say leave the debt and put money towrd an IRA, a house or invest in the stock market.
I just want to be well off, have no debt, and have a great safety net should I or my family ever need help.
WHAT DO I DO ? ANY POINTERS?
